The Bhumi Puja for Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Goalpara (Balijana) in Assam Prant, was performed with immense devotion and enthusiasm on February 20, 2026. The rituals commenced at 11 AM at the school site in Goalpara West, Assam. Attended by parents, Anandalaya Acharyas, and the local community.
The ceremony commenced with the sacred chanting of mantras and Pushpa Arpan to Mother Earth, led by Shri Yogesh Kumar, Headmaster In-charge, along with the presiding Pandit ji. The auspicious proceedings included Lord Ganesh Puja and Vishvakarma Puja, marking a spiritual beginning to the construction project.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Shri Tarak Nath Dey, Headmaster In-charge of VKV Bongaigaon, who greeted the gathering and shared insights into the school’s core vision. Following the opening remarks, the Chief Guest, Assistant Commissioner Smt. Sikhamoni Bora, was formally felicitated with a traditional Assamese Gamocha and a token of appreciation as a mark of respect. During the guest speeches, Smt. Sikhamoni Bora emphasized the critical role that quality education plays in the process of nation-building, a sentiment further echoed in an inspiring address by Shri Raman Sharma Ji.
Su. Meera Didi, Joint Secretary of VKSPV, Guwahati, provided a deeper look into the organizational vision, elaborating on the Vivekananda Kendra’s dedicated mission of "Man-Making and Nation-Building."
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Shri Anoop Sonar, Headmaster of VKV Kajalgaon. Following the Shanti Path and the distribution of Prasad.
