Mahashivratri Celebration at Samskarvarga in Kempapura

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Hebbal Nagarsthan, organized a Mahashivratri celebration at Samskarvarga conducted at the Government Primary School, Kempapura, on 7 February 2026, from 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. The programme was conducted with the participation of 100 students and 2 karyakartas.

The Samskara Varga began with the chanting of three Omkaras, followed by Shanti Mantras, Subhashita, and Geet, creating a devotional and disciplined atmosphere among the children. As part of the session, the students learned new shlokas and sang three bhajans dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The significance of Mahashivratri was explained through a simple and engaging narration of the Shivratri story, helping the children understand the spiritual importance of the festival. The celebration encouraged the students to imbibe devotional values and cultural traditions.

The Samskara Varga concluded with the chanting of the Shanti Paat.
