Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Assam Prant, Kamrup Vibhag organized a Amrit Parivar Workshop and Bhajan Sandhya on 16th October 2025 at VKIC, Uzanbazar through the organising committee of Amrit Parivar, with the objective of expediting the formation of Sankuls across various Nagars of the Vibhag. The programme began at 4:30 p.m. and witnessed the participation of 10 karyakartas. The workshop featured addresses by Ad. Minoti Barman Baido, Ad. Snigdha Baido, Ad. Kalyan Dutta Dada and Ad. Arup Bora Dada, each of whom elaborated on different dimensions of Sankul formation and its relevance in the present socio-cultural context.
In his detailed address, Ad. Kalyan Dutta, IT Pramukh of Kamrup Vibhag, explained the framework for forming one Sankul with five Parivars and proposed naming the Sankuls after inspiring personalities such as Lachit, Kanaklata, Maa Sarda, Srimanta Sankardev, Swami Vivekananda and Bhagini Nivedita, with flexibility for local adaptations. He further highlighted the guiding principles of 5-S (Sukhi, Sampanna, Swastha, Sanskar-Sram, Samaj-Dharana) and 6-B (Basha, Bhusha, Bhojan, Bhajan, Bhawan, Bhraman) as essential components of family development. The workshop resolved to initiate Amrit Parivar Milan gatherings at the residences of Ad. Sarswati Bin Baido (Satribari, near Athgaon) and Ad. Pickumoni Baido (Beltola), and set the goal of forming at least ten Sankuls in each Nagar before the visit of Mananeeya Nandalal Baba in the last week of November 2025. The session concluded with the Kendra Prarthana.
An Amrit Parivar Milan and Bhajan Sandhya of Maa Sarda Sankul was subsequently organised on 2 November 2025 at the residence of Ad. Sarswati Bin Baido, Satribari. The programme was graced by Ad. Smita Didi, Jivan vrati and Sahitya Seva in charge of VK; Ad. Subrata Mukherjee, Assam Prant Karyapaddhati Pramukh; along with Ad. Minoti Barman Baido, Ad. Snigdha Baido and Ad. Dhaneswar Kalita Dada. A total of 22 members participated.
In his keynote address, Ad. Kalyan Dutta emphasized the significance of Amrit Parivar in the current demographic scenario of Assam and motivated all attendees, including four Sanskar Varga children, to understand and uphold the values of the 5-S and 6-Bs. It was collectively decided that the next Amrit Parivar Milan would be held on 9 November 2025 at the residence of Ad. Pickumoni Baido, Beltola. The programme concluded with the Kendra Prarthana.
