International Day of Yoga Celebrated at Edavilangu Kovilakath Dharmasabha

On the occasion of the International Day of Yoga, Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungallur (Keralam Prant) organized a yoga session on June 21, 2026. The event took place from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Edavilangu Kovilakath Dharmasabha.

Led by Jayalakshmi Chechi, the programme brought together 19 participants from the local community.

The successful event concluded with promote yoga not just as a physical exercise, but as a holistic way of life based on the vision of oneness, emphasizing its profound benefits for mental wellness, physical health, and community harmony in alignment with Vivekananda Kendra's mission of “man-making and nation-building”.

International Day of Yoga Celebration at Edavilangu by VK-VVF

On the occasion of the 12th International Day of Yoga, Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungallur (Keralam Prant) organized a Yoga programme on 21st June 2026 at Edavilangu Vatsalayam, Thekkubhagam, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Smt. Sheela Lal Chechi and witnessed the participation of 18 participants, all are Matas and Bhaginis who regularly attend the local Yoga Vargas.

The participants enthusiastically practiced Yogasanas, Pranayama, and meditation, emphasizing Yoga as a holistic way of life rather than merely a form of physical exercise. The session provided an opportunity for the participants to deepen their understanding of Yoga and renew their commitment to regular practice.

The programme concluded successfully, reinforcing the message of health, harmony, inner peace, and holistic well-being through the practice of Yoga.

International Day of Yoga 2026 celebration at Sree Saraswathy Vidyanikethan in Edavilangu

As a part of the International Day of Yoga 2026 celebrations, a special yoga programme was organized by Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungulur (Keralam Prant) at Sree Saraswathy Vidyanikethan, Edavilangu, on 19th June 2026. Held from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 130 students.

The event was conducted under the leadership of Ms. Sheela Lal Chechi, The comprehensive session introduced the participants to various dynamic yoga practices specially designed to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and sharp self-discipline. Demonstrating great interest and dedication, the students actively immersed themselves in the practices, making the initiative highly successful in raising awareness about the vital role yoga plays in fostering holistic development and daily wellness.

Gurupurnima Celebration at Edavilangu

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Kerala Prant, Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation (VK-VVF) organised a Gurupurnima Celebration at Edavilangu Sharada Gramam in Kodungallur on Aashada Purnima (10th July 2025) from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The programme was led by Smt. Suja Chechi, who guided the participants through meditation and chanting, creating a serene and devotional atmosphere. The celebration served as an occasion for reflection on the Guru’s role in spiritual growth and cultural preservation.

A total of 33 participants took part in the Utsava, making the observance both meaningful and memorable.

Personality Development Camp at Edavilangu Village

Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungallur conducted a Personality Development Camp at Edavilangu village from 01/04/2023 to 07/04/2023 for the Primary and Middle school students. 55 children participated in the Camp and 35 parents were also present.

The organizing team consisted of Karyarkarthas from Edavilangu village who got associated with Kendra recently. They have planned to start a Samskar Varga with 19 children at the same village as a follow-up. Yoga Satra, Swadhya Varga and Kendra Varga are also to be started in near future.
