Shri Nikhil Yadav, Prant Yuva Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra, Uttar Prant, informed that Honorable Hanumanth Rao Ji, All India Vice-president of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari and Chief Secretary of Govt. of Delhi, Shri Naresh Kumar Ji (IAS) were present as chief guests for the launch program being organized at our Delhi Centre in Chanakyapuri. The program was attended by more than 300 faculty members and students of different colleges of Delhi University and JNU. Shri Naresh Kumar Ji, during his address, recalled the 15th August Speech of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and said that the coming 25 years are the most crucial phase for India as it will enter its 100 years of Independence. If we get organized and work for the country, India will become "Vishva Guru."
Honorable Hanumanth Rao Ji, in his address, emphasized on Role of Swami Vivekananda in the reawakening of India when India was under British tyranny. He also urged the youth to dedicate at least 2 or 3 years to the Nation.
Shri Nikhil Yadav also informed that Young India: Know Thyself (YIKT) is a leadership development program designed for the Delhi - NCR youth aged between 16 to 23 years. YIKT is a 4 phase program that is as follows:
Registration: Physically in college with one-to-one interaction and Class the Class campaign. Online by contacting the college coordinator or any other volunteer of YIKT.
Online test: Based on Indian culture, civilization, and the Life of Swami Vivekananda to test the awareness and sincerity. It consists of 40 questions. This Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ) test will be available on the YIKT website.
Workshop: A 5 hours long interactive workshop is being conducted on Saturday and Sunday. It consists of games, group discussions, and skit presentations to enhance the group dynamics, discipline, and initiative.
Residential camp: Selected participants are invited to a five-day residential camp. The camp is being organized after the semester exams. All activities are done in groups. It consists of games, yoga, Suryanamaskar, Agyabhyas for martial spirit, Intellectual lectures, group discussion, Vedic chanting, and many more activities. Participants utilize around 16 hours in a day. The whole process is designed to impact all the dimensions of one's personality, such as physical, mental, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual. Young India; the program gives the experience of living a purposefully and spiritually way of Life.
