Swadhyaya Competition at Gadag

vivakananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant organized the Swadhyaya Competition at Shree Benakappa Shankrappa Simhasanad Government First Grade College Gajendragad in Gadag District on 19th April 2025. A total of 41 students participated in the examination.



The competition was based on the book “Swami Vivekananda Jeevan Mattu Sandesha” and aimed to inspire students to imbibe the noble qualities and character traits of Swami Vivekananda. The event was coordinated by Sri Siddesh ji and Kendra karyakarthas Sri Bheeman ji, Sri Naveen ji and Sri Ishwar ji. Full support was extended by the college, ensuring the successful conduct of the event.

International Day of Yoga - Karnataka Vibhag




Namaste All,

International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2021 by Vivekananda Kendra
Karnataka Vibhaga through Zoom Meeting and YouTube.

In this program, 952 members participated and practiced the asanas.
The Asanas were performed as per the AYUSH Mantralaya, Common Yoga Protocol.

The chief guest of IDY 2021 Sri C V Gopinath Ji IES, Retd. Additional Secretary, Govt of India,
 donor of VK Mysore Karyalaya, gave speech about the yoga with several examples on union of body and mind.
The speech was in Kannada and English.

After the practice of Asanas and Pranayama,
we all together took Sankalpa to remain in a balanced state of mind all the time and commit to doing the duty to self,
family, at work, to society, and to the world, for the promotion of peace, health, and harmony.

With a Vote of Thanks to the organizing team and participants,
we lit a light in everyone's heart to be part of Kendra and to stay connected & follow the path of yoga.

The Karnataka Vibhaga team started working on the idea of IDY 2021 from 02-06-2021.

The following work was done to make this event successful
Created a core team of Karnataka Vibhaga which includes Mysore, Dharwad, Kalluballu, Bangalore.
Created pamphlet, posters, and press note for Event
Created Telegram group with more than 1500 participants
All communication of events was done through Telegram Group, WhatsApp messages, and Emails.
4 Bhaikats were conducted for planning and review of IDY 2021
2 days practice session was conducted with the same zoom link and YouTube on 19th and 20th June.
IT Team was created to handle all Technical related Issues.
The Program was a grand success. We thank the organizing team of Karnataka Vibhaga for all the hardworking done in two weeks time to make this Event successful.
