International Day of Yoga Celebration by Sandeepani Shishuvihar in Kodungallur

On the occasion of the 12th International Day of Yoga, Sandeepani Shishuvihar, run by Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungallur (Keralam Prant), organized a Yoga programme on 25th June 2026 at Ananda Dham, Sringapuram, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The programme witnessed the participation of 20 people, including 9 students, 9 parents, and 2 Karyakartas.

The celebration commenced with the auspicious lighting of the traditional lamp by Mananeeya Lakshmi Kumari Didi, Director of VK-VVF who addressed the gathering with an inspiring talk on how early yoga practice can nurture a healthy body, a disciplined mind, and strong moral values in young children.

Following this, Ms. Bindu Chechi led an engaging and interactive practical session, guiding the young children through accessible yogasanas, basic breathing practices, and gentle relaxation techniques. The children participated with remarkable confidence and joy, making the event a success.

The program drew to a close with a collective encouragement for all families present to integrate yoga into their daily lives as a pathway toward holistic health, happiness, and value-based living.

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti celebration at Sandeepani Shishuvihar

Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungallur (Kerala Prant), organized the Swami Vivekananda Jayanti celebration at Sandeepani Shishuvihar on 12 January 2026, from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon. The programme witnessed the participation of 35 people, including students, teachers, and parents.

The programme was graced by Shri Harishankar Ji as the Chief Guest, who shared the inspiring message of Swami Vivekananda with the children in a simple and motivating manner. Mananeeya Lakshmi Kumari Didi, Director of VK-VVF, Adaraneeya Shri Sudhakar Ji, and Kum. Bindu Chechi were also present on the occasion and blessed the children.

As part of the celebration, the students of Sandeepani Shishuvihar dressed up as Swami Vivekananda and presented some of his famous quotes, beautifully conveying his inspiring thoughts to the gathering. The programme created a joyful and inspiring atmosphere for the children and participants.

The celebration concluded with the Kendra Prarthana, marking the programme as a meaningful and memorable observance of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti.

Sadhana Divas Celebration at Sandeepani Shishuvihar in Kodungulur

Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungulur (Kerala Prant), observed Sadhana Divas on 19th November 2025 at Sandeepani Shishuvihar, Kodungallur. The programme was attended by 25 participants, including 14 Shishuvihar children, their parents, and well-wishers of the Vedic Vision Foundation.

On the occasion, Mananeeya Lakshmi Kumari Didi addressed the gathering and inspired the children and parents by narrating the life and work of Mananeeya Shri Eknath Ranade Ji. She vividly explained how Eknath Ji undertook the monumental responsibility of constructing the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, beginning his journey as the Organising Secretary of the project. Didi highlighted his patience, perseverance, and unwavering dedication, especially how he respectfully approached and convinced individuals who initially opposed the construction, thereby turning challenges into collective support.

The programme was also presided over by Adaraneeya Shri Sudhakar Ji. The session served as a meaningful reminder of the spirit of sadhana through selfless service, dedication, and national commitment, leaving a lasting impression on the young minds and attendees.

Thiruvonam Celebration at Sandeepani Shishuvihar in Kodungulur

Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungulur (Kerala Prant), celebrated Thiruvonam with great joy and devotion at Sandeepani Shishuvihar, Kodungulur on 26th August 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 25 students, along with their teachers and parents.

The day’s celebrations included the creation of Athapookalam (floral designs), singing of Onappattukal (Onam songs), Onasadya (traditional feast), and engaging in traditional games that reflected the cultural vibrancy of Kerala. The involvement of students, teachers, and parents made the occasion lively and memorable.

Mananeeya Dr. Lakshmi Kumari DidiDirector of VK Vedic Vision Foundation, graced the programme and blessed the children, inspiring them to cherish cultural traditions while growing with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

The celebrations concluded with a spirit of unity and joy, reaffirming the cultural values and family spirit nurtured at VKVVF.

Rakshabandhan Celebration at Sandeepani Shishuvihar in Kodungulur

Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungulur (Kerala Prant), celebrated Rakshabandhan at Sandeepani Shishuvihar, Kodungulur in August 2025. The programme was filled with enthusiasm and joy, with the active participation of 18 children, along with their teachers.

The highlight of the celebration was the Rakhi Exchange Ceremony, where children tied Rakhis to their classmates and teachers, symbolizing the spirit of love and protection. They also offered Rakhis to Mananeeya Lakshmi Didi (Director, VK VVF) and Shri. Sudhakar Ji, making the event more meaningful and memorable.

The celebration not only deepened the bonds of affection among the children but also reflected the values of fraternity and mutual respect nurtured at VKVVF.

International Day of Yoga 2025 Celebration at Sandeepani Sisuvihar

As part of the International Day of Yoga 2025 celebrations, Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation, Kodungulur (Kerala Prant), organized a special Yoga event at Sandeepani Sisuvihar on 30th June 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 

The event witnessed active participation from 30 people, including students, teachers, and their parents, making it a vibrant and meaningful observance.

The Chief Guests for the event were senior Karyakartas of the Kendra, Sri Radhakrishnan Ji and Sri Mani Chetan ji, who were felicitated by the children with tree saplings as a gesture of respect and environmental consciousness. The programme was further graced by the presence of Mananeeya Dr. Lakshmi Kumari Didi (Director of VKVVF), Sri Nandakumar Ji, and Sri Raghunanthan Ji, who blessed the children and encouraged them as they embark on their journey into a world of knowledge and cultural values.

Senior Jeevanvrati Karyakartha Adarneeya Sudhakar Ji guided and trained the children in performing simple āsanas, making the celebration both joyful and educational.

The event beautifully reflected the spirit of International Day of Yoga 2025, fostering an early connection with Yogic practices and values among young minds.

21st Anniversary of Sandeepani Sishuvihar

Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation’s Sandeepani Sishuvihar celebrated its 21st anniversary at Kodungallur on 2nd April, 2023. Four outgoing children were honoured with a shawl, a lamp and certificate. Retired Professor Sri. Muraleedharan Ji was the Chief Guest. Children from Sishuvihar and Samskarvarga presented various cultural programs.
