Today Vivekananda Kendra Jammu and Galaxy College of Education conducted a seminar on the occassion of Universal Brotherhood Day. Young fellows of Galaxy institutions got enlightened today with message of Swami Vivekananda.
We also had a healthy dialogue with students on how this message is relevant today.
During the seminar it was discussed that the role Indian culture and sanatan sanskriti is very crucial in the Universal Brotherhood. For universal brotherhood, one has to expand oneself and apply inclusiveness in his daily life.

Universal Brotherhood Day Interaction - Ambphala- Jammu

Report of the workshop is as follows:
1. Workshop started with 3 Omkar and Invocation.
2. A geet was taken in lead and follow.
3. A brief interaction about the Universal Brotherhood and it's objective.
4. Interaction is followed by Group discussion.
5. Three games were initiated which leads to learning of Group Dynamics, Team Spirit ultimately resulted in collective growth.
6. In the end, we have briefed them about upcoming state level personality development camp.

Orientation of Young India Know Thyself - J&K Chapter

 13 students of Central University of Jammu have participated in four hour workshop from different parts of Jammu province. We will make efforts to organise one more orientation for those who missed this one.

Inauguration of Young India Know Thyself in CUJ

The report of the launch program is as follows:
1. Program started with a Geet and Shanti Path.
2. Program Convener, Vivek Ji and Chief guest, Manas Ji lit the lamp in the cheerful presence of respected Professors.
3. Dr. Vivek Ji (Chair Professor) presented a welcome address.
4. YIKT Program was inaugurated with unveiling of booklets by Manas Ji and Vivek Ji. Core team for YIKT CUJ was also announced.
5. To familiarize all with the YIKT program, brief presentation was given to all.
6. Manas Ji, Chief guest addressed the gathering and appealed the students to register for the program.
7. In last, launch program was concluded with Shanti Mantra. Then, all had tea.

Plan in action: 27 students registered on the first day of the program.

1. An online webinar was conducted on the topic "Geeta in Daily Life" in which people of our sampark in Kashmir was also invited.

Program started with prayers and followed by Bhajan, Vivekvaani, Kendra : An introduction and afterwards, Respected Speaker explained us about the importance of Geeta for the welfare of mankind. Each and every point was described in very simple words and he mainly focused on craving for eternal with example of God particle. Why Geeta important for youth? This question also impressively addressed by him.

2. Gita Jayanti celebrated at Shiv Mandir , Trikuta Nagar.

Here we had a healthy discussion after reading of Ma. Nivedita Didi's letter on Gita Jayanti and concluded by Sk Jain ji. We have also taken a samkalp to start a Swadhayaya varg from 12th January. Finally program completed with Pushpanjali and prasad distribution.

3. Gita Jayanti celebrated at Venu ji's Residence in Vinayak Nagar, Muthi.

The program received further direction by Bhajan Sandhya in the name of Sri Krishna. Here, Swami Kumar ji of Geeta Satsang Ashram was invited as a speaker and swami ji beautifully explained the teachings of Gita in musical way. How Gita emeges? What is Gita? Who is Lord Krishna? Why Gita? Gita for whom? All these basic concepts described by swami ji in a unique way.
The program concluded with a Pushpanjali and prasad distribution.

4. Geeta Jayanti celebrated at Anurag ji's Residence in Lower Roop Nagar
Date - 3 January, 2020
Time - 2:00 Pm
Started with Shanti path and chanting of shlokas of Karmayog shlok sanghrah. Then, we held a discussion about Gita for Youth and my practical contribution to this work of God after introductory remark by Shiva ji on the basis of Nivedita Didi's letter. Some Bhajans of Lord Krishna also taken by Karyakartas. Finally, concluded with Geet ( Aaj tan man) and Prasad distribution.

 Vivekananda Kendra Delegation (J&K) met founding trustee of Gayatri Parivaar Shanti kunj, Sh. Ashok Gupta Ji at his residence. He had already visited our Headquarter (Kanyakumari) and VK SRMA Nagdandi (Kashmir). He is very supportive for organisational efforts for society. It was a great experience for us to meet an experienced person.

International Day of Yoga at Jammu

Before program started, we lighted the lamp and pushpanjali by all participants. Program started with 3 Omkar and shanti Mantra. For vigourous and enthusiastic environment, a geet was taken. After that, we had a short interactive discussion on Yoga: A way of life and benefits of Suryanamaskar among participants. Now we came to  physical mode and started streching exercises which was followed 51 Suryanamaskar Mahayagya. After some lite refreshments, we conclude the program on a positive note with Sarve Bhavantu. Total 47 people participated in the program.

VK Jammu Corona Relief Work

Distributed double layer 3 ply hand made masks to the needy.
Details of distribution given below :
1.  273 masks to on duty Police and Paramilitary force under Sewa For Saviours
2. 159 mask to people in different areas who were without mask.

Sewa for Saviours
Started this Activity to pay a tribute to our Frontline warriors( Police and Paramilitary force ) who are working without taking any rest in this epidemic.
So, as a mark of respect we have coducted this activity by distributing Amul Buttermilk, Fruits, Mask and Biscuit to 273  security personnel who are on duty in different locations in Jammu Division of J&K. During this Drive we also covered some forest area.
