Personality Development Camp Concludes with Matru-Pitru Pujan at Jule Solapur

The five-day Personality Development Summer Camp, organized by the Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Solapur branch successfully concluded on Wednesday, May 20, at Vivekananda Kendra Vedantic Application of Yoga and Management (VK-VAYAM) in Jule Solapur with Matru-Pitru Pujan. Centered around the inspiring theme of Surajya. The event saw active participation from 71 middle school students Classes 6 to 8, including 42 boys and 29 girls.

The programme was anchored by Sri Shreyash Gaikwad. Shivir Pramukh, Sri Sairam Bhandare presented the report of the camp. Sri Vivek Bhandare recited the prayer, while Sri Soham Pujari sang a patriotic song. Sri Abhishek Gadave introduced the guests, and Sri Prajyot Rabkai presented ‘Vivek Vani’. Members of the organizing team including Sri Shreyash Gaikwad, Sri Balaji Yannam, Kum. Gayatri Sanpurkar, Kum. Gayatri Tallare and Kum. Shraddha Misalolu were present.

During the concluding ceremony, the children performed Matru-Pitru Puja for their parents and offered flowers, rice grains, and Aarti as part of the traditional rituals. The parents then tied sacred threads on their children's wrists and blessed them. The atmosphere was emotional and deeply rooted in Indian values.

The camp included sessions on Surya Namaskar, yoga, thoughts of Swami Vivekananda and ‘Sankalp to Siddhi’ The camp aimed at nurturing curiosity, creativity, courage, sensitivity and overall personality development among children. Activities such as clay modeling, paper craft, outdoor games, discussions on ideal lifestyle and the importance of organization were also conducted.

The camp concluded with the offering of Pushpanjali to the statue of Swami Vivekananda.
