Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Maharashtra Prant, Kokan Vibhag, Dombivli Branch organized the “Amrit Vatap” service activity across key areas of Dombivli East, including Baji Prabhu Chowk, Phadke Road, the Ramnagar Bhaji Market, and near the Ramnagar traffic police station on 10th and 17th May 2026. A dedicated team of 26 karyakarta, including enthusiastic students from the Samskarvarg, interacted with citizens and distributed a total of 325 glasses of healthy buttermilk sourced from Pandit's Kitchen.
Driven by the philosophy that "Service is Sadhana," the initiative aimed to provide refreshing relief to vegetable vendors, handcart pullers, hawkers, and laborers enduring the intense summer heat, while fostering social awareness and gratitude toward these hardworking individuals. To maintain an eco-friendly approach, the refreshing drinks were served in paper cups, which were diligently collected back after use to reduce waste.
This impactful drive successfully distributed 125 glasses in the Ramnagar area and 200 glasses across the Baji Prabhu Chowk and Phadke Road areas, bringing genuine smiles, relief, and a sense of shared compassion to the community.
