Tarunodaya Shivir at Hebbal

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Karnataka Prant, Hebbal Branch, organized Tarunodaya Shivir, a ten-day personality development camp for children, from 15th to 25th April 2026. The concluding ceremony of the Shivir was held on 25th April 2026 at Vivekananda School of Yoga, Coffee Board Layout, Hebbal, Karnataka. The event, conducted from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, witnessed a vibrant gathering of 60 attendees, including 20 dedicated Karyakartas and 40 enthusiastic participants comprising children and their parents.

The program commenced with the chanting of three Omkaras and Shanti Mantras. Demonstrating the skills acquired during the camp, the children warmly welcomed the guests by reciting various Shlokas they had learned. The function was graced by distinguished guests Smt. Veena Akka, Karnataka Prant Karyapadhati Pramukh and Shri Chandrasekar Anna Hebbal Nagar Sanchalak.

During the feedback session, the participants expressed immense joy, specifically highlighting the impact of the guest lectures. They found the sessions led by professionals including policemen, doctors, and lawyers to be deeply insightful, particularly those focusing on social media awareness, self-defense, health and hygiene, and the value of friendship.

In her address, Smt. Veena Akka spoke candidly about the contemporary challenges facing today’s youth, emphasizing the necessity of a resilient mindset and the pivotal role parents play in character building. Shri Chandrasekar Anna reinforced these sentiments, advocating for a value-based upbringing in an evolving world. Smt. Rajashree Akka shared her observations of the children’s growth during the Shivir, offering constructive suggestions to parents while introducing the broader mission of Vivekananda Kendra. She extended a heartfelt invitation to the families to join the Kendra’s movement of "Man-making and Nation-building".

The ceremony reached its peak with the distribution of certificates to the proud participants by the chief guests.

The event concluded with the Shanti Path and the distribution of sweets, marking the end of a transformative journey for all involved.
