VKV Borojalenga Observes Matri Puja and Utsarga Samaroah

Matri Puja of mothers of class X was performed at VKV Borojalenga on 15 February. Students of class X appearing AISSE, 2019 performed the ritual under guidance of Sri Santosh Dubey, Sanskrit teacher of VKV (NEEPCO) Umrangso. The chanting of mantras and value based stories narrated, added to the serenity and piousness of the occasion. As guided each student took a pledge (sankalp) by lighting a lamp round India map to dedicate their service to the wellbeing of the nation in their capacity as they grow up. Both the father and mother were present on the occasion. The students offered their veneration to the parents and were blessed in turn. Prof Aitri Deshmukh AU, Prof. Manabendra Dutta Choudhury, AU, Prof. DK Pandiya, AU, , Sri Nirmalendu Deb, Sri Bijan Saha blessed the students being part of the occasion.

Matri Puja at VKV kharsang

On 4th Feb 2015, VKV-kharsang conducted the Matri Puja for the students and parents of class-X. At 10 am. Class-X students received their mothers / fathers to the prayer hall after washing the feets of their parents. It was noticed that such an holy task was done by the students for the first time in the their life and it could touch their heart. Out of 63 students, a total number of 54 parents of 45 students turned out, in which 33 were mothers and 21 were fathers.

MATRI PUJA VKV TINGRAI

In VKV Tingrai, ‘MATRI PUJA’ was conducted on 25th February, 2014. Class VI students were invited for the puja. First of all, children’s welcomed their mother by washing and applying CHANDAN on their feet. Then all the mother’s and children gathered in the prayer hall. Principal welcomed all of them by welcome address. Bharatididi one of the well wisher of Vivekananda Kendra was present in the puja. She gave speech on significance and reason behind celebrating’ MATRI PUJA’ in India. After that puja was conducted under the guidance of P.KRISHNA KUMAR sir. After the completion of puja mother’s and children’s were asked to share their experience.
