International Day of Yoga celebrated at Wakro
Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti, Wakro branch, Lohit district, Arunachal Pradesh organized 8th International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2022 at Tamilnadu ground in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan. The program started at 7:30 a.m. Loosening and stretching, six rounds of Surya Namaskar, Yogasanas and Pranayam were demonstrated by the Karyakartas of Vivekananda Kendra.
Sri Abutulum Mam, Sampark Pramukh of VK Wakro told the gathering about the significance of Yoga and activities of Vivekananda Kendra. Sri Tamo Riba, Extra Assistant Commissioner of Wakro shared his experience of practicing Yoga. Dr. Debashis Dey Adhikary, Swasthya Seva Manch Pramukh of VK Arun Jyoti explained the concept of Yoga and the theme i.e. Yoga for Humanity. Chow Khun Moonpung, Official of Nehru Yuva Kendra felicitated the guests and delivered the vote of thanks. More than 40 youths of Wakro participated.
