Yoga camp organised at Pessing

A weeklong yoga camp organised at the gangging here in West Siang by the district branch of the Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti concluded on 12 June. During the camp, which was conducted by a team led by VKV Yoga teacher Yebom Digbak, the participants were taught breathing methods, asanas, and pranayama, among other exercises.

Earlier, addressing the inaugural function, the Principal of the Government Higher Secondary School here described yoga as “the most effective science and methodology to manifest the divinity in man and to channelize it for national reconstruction.” He exhorted the participants to make the best of the training which was provided free of cost. The Gangging’s general secretary Taho Taching and president Tagum Tapak also during this 7days Yoga Camp.

Speech Therapy Camp at Tinsukia

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari organized Free Speech and Language Therapy Camp at Vivekananda Kendra Medical Center, Laipuli, Tinsukia, Assam from 1st to 20th June 2019. Chaitrali Hemant Pavnaskar, a speech and language therapist from Pune rendered her valuable service during the camp. 20 children with speech and language difficulties attended the camp. She did the diagnosis and provided appropriate therapeutic interventions. She did counseling for the parents and taught them how to communicate with their child. 5 children with Cochlear Implants also attended the camp. This is to be mentioned that all these Cochlear Implants were done through Vivekananda Kendra in collaboration with Max Hospital, Delhi last year.

Along with the camp, we organized one workshop also for the speech and language trainers of Snehalaya, a local NGO of Tinsukia. The duration of the workshop was for 15 days. As speech and language therapy needs long term follow up, the team Snehalaya will do it.  The camp was very successful and we got all support from local ENT Doctors and other professionals, working on this field.

Personality Development Camp at Bengaluru

7days Personality Development Camp was held from 25-04-2019 to 01-05-2019, at `Need Base India`, Rain Bow Home, campus, Jalalahalli village near Vidyaranyapura, Bengaluru  for the inmates of the Need Base India institution. The institution is supporting the orphans, destitute and poor.  This is only for girls studying from primary level to college level.  There were 50 students in our camp from primary level to degree students. Certain activities were confined only to High school to Degree students. Camp timing was from 2.30pm to 6pm.

     Smt. Shilpa, Home Management Co-ordinator of `Rain Bow Home’ helped us in all respects. Kendra`s resource person Smt. Gita Niranjan Co-ordinated the entire camp activities. VK Bangaluru samiti members Sri. K.Satyanarayana and Smt Dayamani Prasad, were with us throughout the camp lending their full support  in conducting the camp.  Vivekananda Kendra Bengaluru Yoga Varga Pramukh Sri Anikethan demonstrated certain Yoga Techniques and arranged sports and games to participants.

     Daily the camp starts with prayer, shanthi mantra, Gita Chanting, Dhyana, Pranayama followed by Yoga Asana practice. We have also conducted various Games to enhance their memory and skills. Boudhik sessions were  being taken by guests on subjects like Rocket technology, the leadership building, health awareness, speeches on Swamy Vivekananda and his messages, significance of our National Anthem, Indian History, carrier building, value based information etc,. A cricket team from Australia lead by one of the coach visited during the camp and inspired the participants and demonstrated some technique of  cricket game. A team led by SuSri. Lalitha Didi, Life worker and Secretary of VKV Kallubalu, took craft classes for the benefit of participants involving them in learning and  practicing. The notable persons who took boudhik sessions were Sri Prakash, scientist from ISRO, Smt. Vidya Rao (Personality development and Leader ship building), Dr. Shylaja (Health awareness), Smt. Chandrakala(Histroy lecturer), Sri Satyanarayana and Smt Dayamani(both our committee members).

      Smt. Gita Niranjan, resources person,  took several classes on  Indian culture and heritage, mathematical problems, puzzles, general knowledge on Ramayana, Mahabharata, Indian great personalities,  through quiz, tests  etc,.   Smt. Shilpa, co-ordinator of the institution was the chief guest.

      The  PDC camp was  appreciated by all the participants, faculty of the institution and others which was expressed on the concluding function with shower of praises. Vote of thanks given by VK Bangaluru Vyavastha Pramukh Sri K. Satyanaryana.

समर्थ शिक्षक कार्यशाला भरूच

विवेकानन्द केंद्र कन्याकुमारी, भरूच कार्यस्थान - वडोदरा विभाग, गुजरात द्वारा श्रवण विद्यालय भरूच में तीन दिवसीय *समर्थ  शिक्षक* कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया। जिसमे दो विद्यालय श्रवण विद्यालय एवं एलिड विद्यालय के 67 शिक्षको की सहभागिता रही। जिन्हें चार गणो, भगिनी निवेदिता, डॉ. ए. पी. जे. अब्दुलकलाम, गिजुभाई बधेका, श्री रामकृष्ण परमहंस में  विभाजित किया गया।

सत्र में मुख्य वक्ता वडोदरा विभाग संचालक मा. श्री हरिशभाई व्यास, वडोदरा विभाग संगठक श्री लोकेशभाई केशरे , भरूच कार्यस्थान संयोजक एवं प्रधानाचार्य श्रवण विद्यालय श्री सुनीलभाई उपाध्याय, केंद्र कार्यकर्ता एवं एलिड विद्यालय के ट्रस्टी श्री अरुणभाई जाधव, श्रवण विद्यालय के ट्रस्टी एवं रेवा चलचित्र के निर्देशक श्री वैभव भाई की विशेष उपस्थिति रही।

पंजीयन श्री शेलेशभाई द्वारा, संचालन श्री उत्तमभाई द्वारा, प्रार्थना श्री यशभाई  द्वारा, कृतिगीत एवं नर्मदाष्टकम् श्री लोकेशभाई द्वारा लिए गए। संबंधित व्यायाम एवं खेल सत्र के पश्चात मा. श्री हरिशजी ने समर्थ के प्रथम दिवस के *'शिक्षक होने का गौरव'* विषय पर प्रभावपूर्ण मार्गदर्शन दिया।   द्वितीय दिवस के विषय *" सकारात्मक प्रतिसाद"* को वडोदरा विभाग प्रशिक्षण प्रमुख श्री तेजसभाई एवं अंतिम दिवस के विषय *"समस्त जवाबदारी अपने कंधो पर"* को गुजरात प्रांत संगठक आ. शितलबेन जोशी द्वारा लिया गया।

*कार्यशाला के समापन के पश्चात अनुवर्तन बैठक में प्रत्येक शनिवार सायं केंद्र वर्ग का नियोजन किया गया एवं सभी शिक्षकों ने एक भारत विजयी भारत महा संपर्क अभियान में सहभागी होने का निश्चय किया।

Inauguration of Medical Center at Tinsukia, Assam

Inauguration Ceremony of Vivekananda Kendra Medical Centre on 5th-June-2019 was really a great moment for all of us... added another service mission in our list. The day 5th June is also regarded as the 🌍 Environment Day. This year the great festival of Idul Fitre was also celebrated on the same day. The Medical Centre has organized a free Medical Camp on this auspicious day with the help of services extended by some well-known doctors from Assam & Maharashtra, namely (1) Dr. K.R Dey- Gynecologist (2) Dr. G.S Gogoi- Ophthalmologist (3) Dr. Anirban Das- Dental Surgeon (4) Dr. S.D Singh- Physiotherapist (5) Dr. Vijay Tungar- Pathologist (6) Dr. Debashis Dey Adhikari- General Physician (VK-Arunjyoti) (7) Dr. Biswambar Roy- General Physician (VK-Medical Center) (8) Dr. Chaitrali Hemant Pavnaskar- Speech Therapist.

On the day, an encouraging number of 125 registered and 27 unregistered patients (Turned on after 1.30pm) were being provided treatment and 26 numbers of patients were being tested in the newly started pathological ab and accordingly respective reports of the same been handed over to all the patients. At present the pathological lab can perform and consequently handle more than 30 tests every day.

It is worth mentioning here that, we were fortunate enough to have Shri. B.P Bakshi, the founder member of Tinsukia Lions Club on that day, who had at seventies extended his services to Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade and worked together to established this Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya of Laipuli in Tinsukia.

On this inaugural day the rituals of Mangalacharan, lightening of Diya being concluded at 9.30 am then felicitation to the senior dignitaries like Dr. K.R Dey, Dr. Vijay Tungar, G.S Gogoi, Shri B.P Bakshi were accomplished. There were more than 60 invitees’ present in the morning on the day including the karyakartas from Nagar Samiti, Vkendra, well-wishers and Principal of the school Shri. Gurucharan Das.

On this ceremony Ma. Pravinji, Aa. Aparna Didi, Aa. Meera Didi and Aa. Rupeshji were also present. After felicitation program was over, the senior dignitaries namely Dr. K.R Dey, Dr. Vijay Tungar elaborated the benefits of this medical center and the services a patient may receive during their treatment with an affordable health care facilities. Ma. Pravinji highlighted the objective of opening and constructing this Medical center in the midst of rural mass and welcomed all the patients, villagers and mass people to come forward and cooperate with this center for better services. He also mentioned how this Medical center came into being with the donation received from different corner of the country and abroad.

On the same day in the evening at “Vimarsh Session” Swami Achyuteshananda Maharaj, the Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Narottam Nagar, Arunachal Pradesh was invited as a Key Note Speaker on the topic “Seva” by 5 pm onwards. He delivered his speech on Seva Dharma very clearly and nicely in a very positive way. We could all gather and learn the true meaning of SEVA and how to set our mind on that as a whole.

The Vimarsh session was presided over by Swami Achyuteshananda Maharaj and Medical Center Core Team Pramukh Dr. Purnendu Kumar Das. Another Core Team Member Shri. Amit Agarwal was the host of the program. After the welcome address Aadarneeya Meera Didi discussed the all-round development and activities of Vivekananda Kendra in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and also in different parts of India. Aa.Didi also highlighted the profile of the Vkendra in a very optimistic manner.

After the welcome address a Patriotic Song, namely “Nirmano Ke Pavan Yug Mein”was presented by the hostel boys of the VKV-Tinsukia along with Giti Didi and a girl student Divya in a very melodious voice.

In the evening at Vimarsh, the invitees present were about 130. The overall programme was concluded at around 7 pm followed by a light refreshment.

Bhoomi Poojan of VKTIE at Solapur.

The Bhoomipoojan Samoroh of the proposed construction of Vivekananda Kendra Training Institute for Excellence which is coming up in Solapur was held on 7th May,2019.  Ma.Balkrishnan ji , Vice President of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari was the Chief Guest on this occassion.  On this occassion he addressed the gathering.  He said Tyaga & Seva are two principals of our great motherland.  With the help of which we should experience the true love towards our motherland.  Yoga is the core behind all the kendra activities.  This prakalpa is aimed to excel one's  individual capacity with the help of "Yoga A Way of Life'

On this occassion, S/Shri Mrunalini Phadanvis, Vice Chancellor, Solapur University, Shri Subhash Deshmukh, Co operation Minister  Govt.of Maharashtra, Shri Dharmaraj Kadadi, Dr.Madhavi Rayate, Dean, Ashwini Rural Medical College, Solapur along with other eminent personalities from Solapur were present.

कार्यकर्ता प्रशिक्षण शिविर : हिमाचल विभाग

विवेकानन्द केन्द्र हिमाचल विभाग  द्वारा कार्यकर्ता प्रशिक्षण शिविर का आयोजन 'रामकृष्ण तपोवन', साधुपुल सोलन में किया गया जिसकी रिपोर्टिंग 8 जून शाम 4:00 बजे रखी गई थी।  कार्यकर्ता प्रशिक्षण शिविर का आरंभ 8 जून परिचय सत्र से हुई परिचय सत्र के पश्चात सभी शिबिरार्थी को समय सारणी लिखाने के पश्चात कार्यकर्ता प्रशिक्षण शिविर का महत्त्व बताया गया । कार्यकर्ता प्रशिक्षण शिविर के समय सारणी सुबह 5:30 बजे से रात की 9:00 बजे तक रही जिसमें सभी शिविर आढ़तियों ने सुबह प्रार्थना, योग सत्र, चर्चा, मंत्राभ्यास के  बाद अल्पाहार, श्रम परिहार, श्रम संस्कार, प्रथम सत्र एवं  चर्चा और उसके पश्चात गीत एवं मंत्र अभ्यास गणशः और  द्वितीय सत्र, केंद्र वर्ग, भजन संध्या और प्रेरणा से पुनरुत्थान आदि में भाग लिया।

प्रथम सत्र का विषय स्वामी विवेकानंद राष्ट्रभक्त सन्यासी रहा जो माननीय मानसजी, उत्तर प्रान्त संगठक द्वारा संबोधित किया गया। दूसरा सत्र एकनाथजी एवं कथा विवेकानंद शीला स्मारक की जो माननीय कल्पनादीदी, हिमाचल विभाग संगठक,  के द्वारा संबोधित किया गया दूसरे दिन के सत्र कार्यपद्धती जो मानस भट्टाचार्य जी के द्वारा लिया गया दूसरा सत्र अनुशासन  मानसजी जी के द्वारा लिया गया, तीसरे दिन के सत्र केंद्र प्रार्थना भाग-1 कल्पनादीदी  के द्वारा लिया गया दूसरा सत्र हमारे उत्सव माननीय प्रदीपजी, हिमाचल विभाग प्रमुख द्वारा लिया गया। चौथे दिन का सत्र केंद्र प्रार्थना भाग-2 कल्पना जी के द्वारा लिया गया अंतिम सत्र आहुति सत्र कल्पनादीदी  और  प्रदीपजी  द्वारा   लिया गया। 

सत्र के पश्चात मंथन के विषय ऋषि परंपरा, हमारी धरोहर, कार्य पद्धति को सफल कैसे करें तथा अंतिम 2 दिन सभी शिविर राशियों को एक एक पुस्तक देकर उनकी प्रस्तुति रखी गई।

मंथन के पश्चात गीत एवं मंत्र अभ्यास किया गया जिसमें केंद्र प्रार्थना भोजन मंत्र एक के मंत्र प्रातः स्मरण आदि किया गया।

नैपुण्य वर्ग - प्रथम कहानियां कैसे ली जाती है जो माननीय मानस भट्टाचार्य जी द्वारा लिया गया दूसरा नैपुण्य वर्ग - संस्कार वर्ग  एवं  तीसरा नैपुण्य वर्ग अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस 21 जून, जो युवा कार्यकर्ता गोपाल जी द्वारा लिया गया अंतिम ने पुण्य वर्ग केंद्र वर्ग जो माननीय कल्पनादीदी  द्वारा मार्गदर्शित हुआ ।

केंद्र वर्ग - इसमें योगाभ्यास खेल गीत चर्चा रही इसमें मुख्य खेल रहे मार्गदर्शक, सुरंग दौड़, दुर्ग विजय, मतीरे की फाक,  थैंक यू, गरीबा युद्ध,  रस्साकशी, leader leader change change, आदि चर्चा के विषय हमारे समाज में कुरीतियां महिला सशक्तिकरण और वामपंथ।

भजन संध्या गुरु, गणेश, शिव, शक्ति, राम, कृष्ण, मिश्र आदि के भजन लिए गए। शिविर आढ़तियों द्वारा भी कुछ भजन गाए गए।

प्रेरणा से पुनरुत्थान पहले दिन एक्शन सॉन्ग मानस आचार्य द्वारा, दूसरे दिन एक्शन गोपाल द्वारा दिया गया, इसके पश्चात प्रेरणा  से पुनरुत्थान में विभिन्न खेल खेले गए। दूसरे सूची में रामायण पात्र के नाम, महापुरुष के नाम, प्रेरणा से पुनरुत्थान में  भगिनी निवेदिता की कहानियां भी इसकेपश्चात सामूहिक हनुमान चालीसा अंत में दिनचर्या अवलोकन किया गया। शिविर में कुल संख्या 20 रही।

इस पांच दिवसीय आवासीय कार्यकर्ता प्रशिक्षण शिविर से सभी कार्यकर्ता मन में नए उमंग और उत्साह से समाज-राष्ट्र के लिए कार्य करने हेतु प्रतिबद्ध हुए।
