Guru Poornima was grandly celebrated at two places by Nagerkoil branch of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakuamri.
Vivekananda Kendra Nagerkoil Branch and Ammasi Mutt jointly celebrated Guru Poornima at Meenaxipuram. At morning 11'o clock Guru Poornima celebration started with Bhajans by the karyakartas and Bhajan mandali. "Desamei namaku ellam kodukudu....... " song was there. The special lecture by Sri Jyoti Aravindanji who lectured on importance of Gurupoornima with reference to Swami Vivekananda. Guru Stotram chanted by all and Aarati was there. The total counting at the beginning was 60people.
At Shaktigramam Guru Poornima celebrated at evening on 22nd July 2013. Sanskar Varga children performed Suryanamaskar, "Desamei namaku ellam kodukudu......" song, and Simha Garjanai. The chief guest Sri Aravindan Neelakandanji lectured on importance of Guru Poornima and Need of the hour for the people. Guru Stotram chanted and sankalpam taken by the all 150 persons involve in Utsav Celebration.
