District-Level Traditional Dance and Drama Competition at Leparada

On 14 January 2026, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Arunachal Prant, Siang Vibahg, Basar Branch, organized the celebration of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, observed as National Youth Day, at Basar, Leparada District. The programme was conducted with the objective of inspiring youth with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda while promoting cultural heritage through a District-Level Traditional Dance and Drama Competition.

The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the Donyi Polo Prayer, followed by a welcome address delivered by Shri Damba Riba ji, District Coordinator (Dance & Drama). The event was graced by Dr. Tejum Padu ji, Sah Prant Sanchalak, Arunachal Prant as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present included Shri Jummar Bam ji, President, IFCSAP Leparada, and Shri Goka Basar ji, Former MLA, along with karyakartas, judges, students, and participants from three circles of Leparada District.

The cultural segment featured traditional dance and drama performances, which were carefully evaluated by the panel of judges. Prizes were distributed to encourage and recognize the talents of the participants. The programme witnessed the participation of 100 people, including 15 karyakartas, reflecting active community involvement and enthusiasm.

The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Shri Biluk Lomri, Sampark Pramukh, followed by the Shanti Mantra and Prasad.

Traditional Dance and Drama Competition at Seppa

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Arunachal PrantVivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti, Seppa organized the celebration of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti featuring a Traditional Dance and Drama competition on 12th January 2026 at Donyi Jalling Nyedar Namlo, Seppa. The event saw total participation of 192 attendees, comprising 128 students from different schools, 46 participants, and 16 karyakartas.

The event was distinguished by the presence of Smt. Sita Sonam GyadiPresident of WWO East Kameng as the Chief Guest and Shri Khya Sonam President of IFCSAP as the Guest of Honour. Dr. Robin Hissang, Head of the Kameng Division, shared his expertise as the resource person for the day, under the dedicated coordination of Shri Disam Sangdo. The celebration was designed to commemorate the life of Swami Vivekananda by engaging the youth through a blend of cultural expression and value-based learning.

Central to the event was a Traditional Dance and Drama Competition, which focused on indigenous heritage and moral themes. These performances were meticulously evaluated by a panel of judges from Nyedar Namlo, Seppa.
