Both are having experience of minimum 35 years in the field of education.
They were the instrumental with Sri M. P. Vijaykumar (Retd. IAS), former director of SSA, Tamilnadu in, planning, developing, conducting classes & training teachers etc. on Activity Based Learning (ABL) methodology.

Target Group: Teachers and Parents
Nature of Activities:
A. Activity Based Learning (ABL) workshop (conducted in all 4 Vidyalayas following ABL system. 2 teachers of VKV (NEC) Baragolai also joined the workshop in last two days.)
ABL Class observation of teachers, listening to teachers difficulties/ doubts and clarifying those, teachers training on –
how to manage students in ABL class
how to develop speaking skills
how to remove shyness of students
how to introduce logos
how to move in the ladder and take cards from tray
how children should more in groups
how teachers should move in the class room to different groups and help students
understanding the meaning and use of each cards
Besides the above the administrative and technical guidance like-
What are measures to be taken care while developing ABL cards etc.
Keeping record of achievements of individuals and consolidated achievements of whole class
Involving pupils in decision making while preparing weather charts etc.
Preservation of pupils’ individual work/ activities in personal files
Pupils self attendance
B. Active Learning Methodology (ALM) classes were also observed at VKV (NEEPCO) Umrangso. The school is following ALM system for EVS and English in class V (both sections) and Hindi and Social Science in class VI (both sections), after the basic idea received from M. P. Vijaykumar last year. The ALM classes were appreciated by both the resource persons.
C. Mathematics Workshops were conducted at VKV Tinsukia, VKV (NEEPCO) Umrangso & VKV Badarpur.
Maths workshops were conducted with hands on activities.
Child’s fingers movement, observation, calculation, comparison, reasoning skills etc are developed through activities by doing, observing, verifying.
A set of 26 kits of Mathematics are available with us in all 4 Vidyalayas and few more.
Learning right from counting to doing all four operations of single to bigger digit numbers
D. Interactions with Parents were arranged at VKV Tinsukia, VKV Badarpur and VKV (NEEPCO) Umrangso. Interactions were in the line of – Quality education, Background of ABL methodology and its strength, basics of its concept and process, education through involvement.
Interactions were appreciated by parents and requested to have such interactions time to time for their understanding and clarity.

29 January at VKV Sivasagar : 8.30am to 12.30pm - ABL class observations
12.45pm to 2pm & 6pm to 8.30pm – Interaction with teachers and clearing doubts
3pm to 5.30pm: Interaction with Parents
Night halt at VKV Dibrugarh
30 January at VKV Tinsukia : 10am to 12noon – Interaction with parents of class I

31 January 2015: 9am to 1pm – Observation and discussion on the Contents of class III ABL, which are in process and further guidance on it.

1 February at VKV Umrangso: 10.30 am to 12.30pm – Visit to a tea garden and attending a Karbi new year celebration in Dithur village.
