माननीय एकनाथजी को स्वामीजी का स्वप्न पूर्ण करना था। इसीलिये उन्होंने शिला-स्मारक के दुसरे चरण में विवेकानन्द केन्द्र - एक अध्यात्म - प्रेरित सेवा संगठन - का सूत्रपात किया। विवेकानन्द केन्द्र जीवनव्रतियों का एक गैर-संन्यासी संगठन है। संन्यासियों का वेश धारण किये बगैर संन्यासियों की वृति धारण करने वलों को जीवनव्रती कहते हैं।
