Anna Puja at Attoor

Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamilnadu Vibhag, Vivekananda Kendra Rural Development Programme, Peyankuzhi Branch (Kanyakumari District) organized an Anna Puja at NVKS Higher Secondary School, Attoor, on 16th March 2024. Around 50 people participated in the event.

Sri. Ravindranath Kurup ji, a Kendra well-wisher and Temple Dharmakartha of Perai village, Marthandam, along with Sri. Ramachandran ji, another Kendra well-wisher from Thikkurichi village, presented the rice collected from the surrounding villages to Sri. Ayyappan Ji, The Secretary of VK-RDP.

A total of 2,550 kgs of rice was collected from 14 villages around Peyankuzhi. This rice will be distributed to over 75 Balwadis, providing mid-day meals for more than 2,000 children, and will also be used for food donation programs (Annadhanam) at various temples and ashrams in five southern districts of Tamil Nadu.

During the event, Sri. Ravindranath Kurup, Sri. Ramachandran, and Sri. Ayyappan Ji, Secretary of VKRDP, delivered special addresses. Participants in the puja prayed for the welfare of the world and humanity by chanting mantras. All arrangements for the puja were made by Sister C. Leela, Kanyakumari District Incharge, and Kendra Sister Kala Rani, along with Sri. Krishnakumar, Secretary of N.V.K.S. Higher Secondary School.
