Vivekananda Kendra Launches "Awakening Bharat: A Youth Talk Show" Initiative

Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, has launched a new initiative called "Awakening Bharat: A Youth Talk Show." This program aims to engage young minds in India on various topics relevant to their growth and the nation's progress. The initiative features a series of webinars focusing on Bharatiya culture, presented by renowned speakers. The primary goal is to instill a sense of national identity and inspire youth to contribute to nation-building endeavors.

Inaugural Webinar on Fundamentals of Ramayana

The first webinar of the series took place on Sri Rama Navami, April 17th, 2024. The topic was "Fundamentals of Ramayana," presented by Sri Nilesh Nilkanth Oak Ji, an author, researcher, TEDx speaker, and sought-after keynote speaker. The live broadcast on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram attracted over 1,500 virtual attendees from across India. The webinar recording continues to gain views after the event.

Sri Nilesh Ji's presentation explored the importance of Dharma, the foundations of Hinduism, and the core concepts of the Ramayana. He cited numerous Shlokas (verses) from Valmiki's Ramayana and presented a timeline of Hindu civilization supported by scientific evidence.

A question-and-answer session following the presentation allowed the audience to engage with the speaker. Questions from both the live audience and social media were addressed by Sri Nilesh Ji. 

Positive Response and Future Plans

The "Awakening Bharat" initiative has received a positive response, especially from young people. Plans are underway to host at least one webinar per month featuring diverse topics related to Bharatiya culture and national development.
