Activities at VK Chinchwad

•      12/07/2015 Blood donation camp in which 50 persons did blood donation.

•    13/08/2015 Inter school patriotic song competition : around 50 schools had participated in 3 groups. Total number of children who had participated was 600 apart from teachers and parents. During this program only one of my friend who himself teaches has invited us to conduct a 'Samarth Shikshak Shibir for his teachers this month. there was a news in local news paper er Sakal.

•    30/08/2015 Trek to Lohagad fort. :  around 50 students boys and girls from Prof Ramkrishna More college of Arts & Science on 30/08/2015. We left by train at 7am in morning. After refreshing breakfast we started our trek with general information of our Kendra works, inspiring songs etc along the way in nice rains. on the fort we conducted a small lecture by our International Kick boxing champion Silver medal winner Mr. Jaidev Mhamane about Yoga, Eating habits and exercise. then he also conducted some games for the youth. we got to learn lot of important things from him, be it about yoga or self defense for sisters.

•    Amrut Surabhi : Every month we collect 1/2 kg of tur dal from every house and give it to an orphanage here in chinchwad. we have managed to give around 50kg every month for last 5 months. we hope to increase the quantity by going out to different societies so that we get more and more donors. we have to be able to help more orphanages in this area. 

Universal Brotherhood Day celebration in Tirap Vibhag

The Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated at three places of Tirap vibhag by Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti on 11th Sept.2014.  To aware the youths about blood donation, Kendra organized blood donation awareness camp at Changlang at DIET Auditorium.

 A free blood group checking camp was also a part of this occasion. 25 youths registered their names to donate blood, when needed. Dr.M.Ngemu, Blood Bank In-Charge, District Hospital,Changlang explained the benefits of blood donation. Dr.D.Techai, District Vetenery Officer, Changlang, chaired the function.

Similar blood group checking camp was organized at NBF hall, Khonsa ,Tirap, where 35 youths checked their blood group.Dr.T.Matey, SMO and Dr.P.R.Rakshit, SMO, District Hospital,Khonsa initiated the programme. Sri N.Tangjang, District Labour Officer, Khonsa delivered the concluding remarks.

At Deomali one youth camp was organized on the occasion of Universal Brotherhood Day on 11th Sept.2014. Sri Wangpha Lowang,Ex-MP was the chief guest and 117 youths participated in that camp.

Blood Donation Camp Organised by VKV Yazali

On the eve of 150th Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a Blood donation camp was organised by  VKV NEEPCO YAZALI on 18th February 2013 in collaboration with R.K.Mission Hospital , Itanagar for the first time in the Yazali locality with mass campaign “ RAKTA DAN JIVAN DAN”. There were more than 156 people were interested to donate blood, from Yazali town, Potin, Pitapool, NEEPCO Colony , Poosa village & teachers of VKV NEEPCO Yazali. 31 peoples donated their blood. Co ordinator of this camp was Shri. T. Sritharan, Teacher VKV, Yazali.
